Ever since I was poked fun at for over packing, but then experienced my first mass casualty incident shortly afterwards and we used everything I shoved into my bag - I’ve been (overly) prepared, for everything.

So today I’m sharing my winter kit list for road trips and some of my favourite products/gear!

Winter Kit List

Whether it’s for the car or the cottage, here’s the kit that I like to have on hand and have used more than once to get out of a tough spot. You would think that this takes up a lot of space, but it packs up well (and is worth it)!

• extra food and extra water

• extra warm clothing, blanket

• first aid kit for you (and your dog)

• medications and emergency card

• lighters and fire starter

• flashlight, headlamp, glowsticks

• cell, gps spotter, or both

• portable battery pack, solar panel

• booster cables, bag of sand, shovel

Last year, I was at a cabin and dealing with an infection that got worse. I did not have medication on hand and have to drive an hour on winter roads to the nearest emerge to wait 8 hours for treatment. Which is ok, just uncomfortable and it would have been preventable if I had one of Jase Medical’s telemedicine based emergency antibiotic kits.
